After teaching in Aldine for five years I decided to make the move to Klein ISD. In Klein, I was a 2nd and 4th grade bilingual. Altogether I taught for 13 years. Mrs. Standley
Amber Standley, Assistant Principal

I am honored to serve as assistant principal at Bernshausen Elementary and to give back to the Klein community that has always invested in me. My family moved to Klein when I was in third grade and my Klein teachers changed my perception of myself and my future opportunities. When I was in my early years of college, I realized I wanted to pursue my career, home, and family in the safety and comforts of my Klein area roots.  I started my career out of Sam Houston State University at Greenwood Forest Elementary in 2006. My husband and I, my high school sweetheart from Klein Oak High,  now raise two ambitious boys that keep us busy with our two dogs, an English bulldog, and dachshund. Since becoming a Bengal Administrator in 2015, I have been allowed the privilege to advocate for students, families, and teachers. I value the relationship with my Klein family and promise to uphold the vision that every child who enters Klein ISD will enter with a promise and exit with a purpose. There are no limits to what your children will achieve. Their future is waiting for them to step into it.
