Our 3rd–5th graders put their creativity to work this week in the library as they designed handmade bookmarks for our K–2 Bengals!
As they created, our big kids thought about their favorite book characters, kind messages, and fun reading phrases—all with another student in mind. What made this project extra special was seeing how enthusiastic they were about creating something for someone else.
This is the Bengal Way in action! Our students are showing what it means to “Be Brave. Be Better. Serve Others.” through a simple act of kindness that connects our students through books and reading.
Starting next week, our littlest Bengals will have the chance to choose a handmade bookmark created just for them by a 3rd–5th grade student when they check out a new book in the library!
We can’t wait to see those bookmarks find their readers! 💙💚
